The 25th season of the WNBA season will have a new champion, with the Seattle Storm eliminated in the single-game elimination round. 

The Chicago Sky were the first team to punch their ticket to the championship round, after upsetting the top-seeded Connecticut Sun 3-1 in the best-of-five WNBA Semifinals. The 2021 WNBA Finals is the franchise’s second appearance at the championship stage and the first since 2014. 

The second team – the Phoenix Mercury, the other lower-seeded team in the WNBA Semifinals – booked their berth in the 2021 Finals by defeating the second-seeded Las Vegas Aces 87-84 in Game 5 and win the series 3-2. This is the Phoenix franchise’s fifth Finals appearance in franchise history, having won three of those previous instances.

When do the WNBA Finals begin? 

The 2021 WNBA Finals will begin on Oct. 10 with the final game of the series- Game 5 – scheduled for Oct. 19. 

What are the dates for the 2021 WNBA Finals? 

Two nights off will seperate Game 1 and 2, before the best-of-five series will be played on an alternate day basis.

Game 1 – Oct. 10

Game 2 – Oct. 13

Game 3 – Oct. 15

Game 4 – Oct. 17 (if necessary)

Game 5 – Oct. 19 (if necessary)

What are the start times for the 2021 WNBA Finals?

The Finals games on Sunday – Game 1 and Game 4 – will be played at 3 p.m. ET while the other three games will be played at 9 p.m. ET. 

How to watch the 2021 WNBA Finals?

Every game of the WNBA Finals can be streamed either on ESPN.com or the ESPN app.

On television, Game 1 and 4 will be broadcasted on ABC, Game 2 on ESPN and Games 3 and 5 will be on ESPN 2.
